Soft Sweet Slow Song Sunday Dos

@jamaicanblogger will prolly post b4 me
Oh yeah... this Sunday is Christmas isn't it? I wish you merriment and stuff... Time sure flies though. A cliched truth(sighs all around).

Anyway, in this week's SSSS, I share with you "The Hours" by Exitmusic. The kinda song you(I?) get lost in. Merry music listening!

"Give me back the hours, they're mine to waste"

Music Elves and the Embodiment of Music

Ever felt like you're less alone when listening to that one song you really love? That's because of the music elves! The music elves are engineered my biz execs and come in many forms. They use their dance magic and nice clothes to cast a "vibe" onto the listener.

Though invisible to most outside of the "biz", ordinary folk definitely feel a music elf's presence. Music elves truly embody music and this SebastiAn video just illustrates that.

Music elves are real!!!

Soft Sweet Slow Song Sunday!

I might make this a thing. No promises. The idea is to post songs describable by these S words because alliterations are fun! I'll (maybe) post a relatively new, relatively unknown song each Sunday with a soft tone, sweet lyrics, slow tempo or any combination of the three and maybe sexy if applicable.

First up is 'Knees' by Peter and Kerry. I was just going to post the song but there was a video! So have that! More info on their website if you so desire.

Still not sure if I'll make this a thing though...

The Epiphany

Another Night
Another Night by Jermaine Headley
"I fell asleep reading a dull book and dreamed I kept on reading, so I awoke from sheer boredom."
Heinrich Heine

I was having another night staying up doing nothing important. Just finished watching Defranco Does Dublin  and I was thinking I should probably go to sleep now. Buuuut.... just didn't wanna... Why  though?

Suddenly, BOOM! I remembered a few nights ago I actually did go to bed early when I had not much else to do. Or rather I went "to sleep", going "to bed" with my laptop on is a different situation. Point is, I couldn't sleep. I had my eyes closed, lying in bed for what seemed like at least over an hour. Maybe two.

It was finally all kind of clear. This is why I stay up all the time. It's hard to fall asleep unless my eyes get too heavy to keep open. Armed with new knowledge, the question is no longer "why don't I want to go to sleep at night?" and is instead "why do I find it so hard to fall asleep?". Inconsequential to most I'm sure but for me... GROWTH!

Sleep, my love, we can fix this! We can make it work!
